Guild Level: 10
SP Cost: 0 spell points
Skill: Earthshaping
Syntax: grove

              visit <druid name>

As a druid gathers more prestige within the Druid Circle, he or she is given the privilege of his or her own plot of land within the property of the guild.

This plot of land is chosen by the druid upon reaching level 10, and may be used by the druid for cultivation of personal plants, trees, and other various flora.

Much like the public plot of land within the guild used for cultivation, a druid's grove will possess varying types of terrain but will lean heavily toward one particular aspect, be it forest, marsh, field, or cave. This terrain type is chosen by the druid before entering his or her grove for the first time. To select your grove's terrain, use the 'choose' command at the grove entrance within the guild.

Choosing your grove's terrain type is a serious decision, but a druid is allowed to change his or her mind once during his or her life as a druid. In order to rechoose your grove's terrain, use the 'rechoose' command at the grove entrance within the guild.

From within your grove you are able to provide other druids with invitations, kick out druids currently inside your grove, and remove invitations.

Please note that rechoosing your grove's terrain type involves a violent upheaval of the soil, resulting in the death of every plant within your grove. Additionally, your grove's allowed list of other druids will be purged during the process.

Commentary

A druid may enter the groves from the Entrance to the Druidic Groves room within the Druid Guild. Each druid's personal grove includes 9 rooms which make a 3 room by 3 room square.

When choosing the terrain type the druid is choosing the relative number of different room types which will be present in their grove. Choosing the terrain type is very important since different items can be cultivated in different room types. Apples can be cultivated in thick forest or grassy field rooms, wheat can be cultivated in grassy field rooms, rice can be cultivated in damp moor rooms, mistletoe can be cultivated in thick forest rooms, blueberries can be cultivated in thick forest or grassy field rooms, bamboo can be cultivated in thick forest or grassy field rooms and mushrooms can be cultivated in dark cave rooms.
