Level: 4 Skill: Discernment Syntax: providence Cost: 25 The divine will of Artrimas is capable of manifesting itself in numerous ways. The power of divine providence reflects this, allowing a sufficiently skilled Paladin to suffer fewer of the fateful and often unfortunate consequences that tend to befall all people from time to time. A prayer for divine providence is usually answered with a slight increase in the Paladin's ability to avoid misfortune, as well as a larger and increasingly more significant increase in the Paladin's ability to shed blows on the field of battle. Armor will feel lighter, one's shield more secure, and one's skill with all of them greatly improved. In addition to the personal boons of this blessing, all others who are present in the paladin's party at the time and not already under the benefit of another paladin blessing will benefit from some of the effects as well, albeit to a lesser degree than the Paladin does. If there are other paladins present in the group, they may also invoke this blessing or another blessing and receive the effects twofold.
Although any one person may only benefit from one -shared- blessing at a time, the first blessing laid upon a party will take precedence over any others laid after it, thus preventing boons from being removed by a carelessly overzealous worshipper.
Members who join the party after the blessing is cast may benefit from any subsequent blessings laid by other paladins in the group as they will not have been present for or received the first blessing.
