Your skills are the heart and soul of what your abilities as a fighter will be. No matter how high you are ranked in the Fighter's Guild, no matter how many special combat feats you have learned, if you do not practice the basic skills that make you a fighter, you will have very little chance of succeeding.

You do not use your skills directly. Rather, you apply them into all but the most basic guild feats you use. By training them, you make sure you are getting the most out of every new feat you learn. Training skills is very expensive, but it is well worth the time and money.

You can train your skills no higher than twice your player level.

Your fighter skills are:

  • leadership - guard, observe, page, roar, squire
  • metallurgy - balance, engrave, forge, sharpen, test
  • multiple-attack - berserk, charge, combo, frenzy
  • critical - assail, charge, critical
  • shield - block, rush
  • survival - clean, dress, endure, fortify, torch

Commentary

Fighters are a very skill-driven guild - it's immensely important to train early - and often!
