Usage: haggle buy <cost> <item>
        haggle sell <cost> <item>
        haggle blackmarket

Through the blessing of innate charisma, romanae make excellent barterers and tradesmen. When present in any store, a romanae may haggle for better prices on items bought and sold. When haggling, a romanae is typically also able to sell items that stores normally would not purchase.

Some romanae, through rigorous exercise of their charisma, choose to engage in pseudo-legal transactions in Astaria's black market. Not all shopkeepers engage in black market trading, but those who do will carry various interesting items for a discerning romanae to purchase. To check if a shop has black market goods, use: haggle blackmarket. You will be prompted how to proceed.

To haggle on a normal purchase, use: "haggle buy <cost> <item>", where <cost> is the amount of money you would be willing to expend.

To haggle on a sale, use: "haggle sell <cost> <item>", where <cost> this time is the amount of money you would like to receive.

Costs take the form: <number> <cointype>

Commentary

One of the earliest attempts at using the Black Market functionality of bartering was rumored to result in the purchase of a Thirsting Blade, an item of no small power.
