Basic Description
Webstones are a variety of obsidian. They are a variety in which small pieces of the stone have been cemented together by heat and pressure in an irregular mass, the joints showing as irregular, weblike lines. They are usually black, with the lines sometimes showing as white, but brown, reddish brown, and rust-red varieties have been found.
