| Ninja are well known for their 'mystical prowess'. Trained ninja      |
| however know that their seemingly magical abilities are rooted        |
| not in any form of arcane knowledge, but rather in particularly       |
| skillful application of deception and special equipment. The katon,   |
| or fireburst is one of the more impressive but least technical        |
| of abilities employed by a ninja. By filling the air with a           |
| noxious gas or fine explosive powder and then sparking two weapons    |
| together, the ninja can suddenly flood an entire area with flame.     |
| The resulting concussion can damage or disorient everybody in the     |
| area. The exact effects are defined by the accelerant used. The       |
| blast itself is nearly impossible to control and will hit both        |
| friend and foe, making this technique a very potent but situational   |
| choice. Targets engaged in melee combat with the ninja will receive   |
| additional penalties.                                                 |
