Syntax: scourge

With this power, a cleric can call upon the powers of his or her deity to

lay waste to any opponents. The effects are determined by the deity and

will be spread amongst however many attackers are currently in combat.

Attempting to invoke the wrath of one's deity against especially devout

followers may result in denial of the entire effects of the prayer, or

if the attacking devotee is in significantly higher standing than the

cleric, may even result in divine penance against the invoking cleric.

Likewise, particularly despised followers of opposing deities will be

far more likely to suffer debilitating effects like weakness, frailty,

sickness, or occasionally even a bolt of divine lightning.
